In the first session of the October 2011 General Conference, President Monson announced new temples to be built around the world...with on of them to be built in Kinshasa, DR Congo! I can only imagine how exciting this news is to the members in that area; I can only imagine the excitement of the missionaries as they heard this news! We were told the missionaries will be at the senior couples apartments to see the first two sessions of conference, I really hope that was the case, that they were able to hear this direct from President Monson...what a tremendous spiritual boost to the church and missionary work there! We will post Elder Schmid's email when we receive it. Can't wait to hear about the reaction in Africa!
